Our process

From concept to launch

Five steps, visible deliverables and direct communication. You know what's happening, what you get and when.

Every Couvance project goes through five phases: discovery, design, development, QA and launch. Each phase has concrete deliverables: you approve the scope and the prototype before development starts, we never launch without your approval, and you always talk with the people who build your product.

01. Discovery & Diagnosis

We understand your world before writing a single line. We don't start with code — we start with questions. We audit your business, your competitors and your users. The result is an unambiguous scope document that both parties approve before moving on.

When: At the start · Duration: Set in the proposal

Deliverables:

  • Technical and business brief
  • Competitor analysis
  • KPIs and success metrics
  • Signed, unambiguous scope

Tools: Notion, Figma, Loom, Google Meet

02. Design & Prototyping

You see the product before it exists. From wireframes to visual design in days, not weeks. Every screen designed for conversion and performance. We deliver an interactive Figma prototype you can share with investors and approve before a single line of code is written.

When: After the scope is approved · Duration: Set in the proposal

Deliverables:

  • Wireframes of the main flows
  • Complete UI design in Figma
  • Clickable, interactive prototype
  • Design system and tokens

Tools: Figma, FigJam, Maze (testing), Lottie

03. Development

Clean code, an architecture that scales. Next.js and React, or plain HTML and JavaScript when that is enough. Our own clean, documented code, with weekly progress so you can see and test your product as it grows.

When: After the prototype is approved · Duration: Set in the proposal

Deliverables:

  • Custom frontend (Next.js, React or HTML/JavaScript)
  • Backend and integrations, if the project needs them
  • Weekly progress to review
  • Code and access in your name

Tools: Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS, GSAP, HTML/JavaScript

04. QA & Optimization

We test before launch. We test on real devices and browsers and optimize speed, accessibility and SEO. If a bug shows up after launch, we fix it free of charge for 30 days.

When: Before launch · Duration: Set in the proposal

Deliverables:

  • Full QA report
  • Lighthouse measurement: performance, SEO and accessibility
  • Cross-browser and mobile tests
  • Fixes included at no cost

Tools: Playwright, Lighthouse, BrowserStack, Sentry

05. Deploy & Handover

Your product is live. You are in full control. We publish with your approval and hand over full access: repository, domains, servers and credentials, with documentation so you can operate on your own from day one.

When: Launch · Duration: Set in the proposal

Deliverables:

  • Supervised production deploy
  • Complete technical documentation
  • Handover of access and credentials
  • 30 days of post-launch support

Tools: Vercel / Cloudflare, GitHub, Linear

How long does a project take?

A website or landing page: 1–2 weeks. A full web app or SaaS: 4–8 weeks. We define it precisely in the Discovery phase, with visible weekly milestones.

Timelines are estimates that depend on receiving content, access and approvals on time.

Our commitments

  • You see and approve the prototype before development starts.
  • Daily communication and weekly review, directly with the builders.
  • Revisions included during development; scope changes are agreed separately.
  • Full access to your code and services; ownership passes to you once the agreed payment is complete.
  • 30 days of free support after launch.
  • Timelines in writing in the proposal, with visible weekly milestones.

Process FAQ

What is communication like during the project?

At Couvance communication is direct, with no middlemen: you get a WhatsApp or Slack channel, a daily progress update and a weekly review call. You always talk to the founders who build your project, Zenan Fernández and Alfonso Mendoza.

Can I request changes during development?

Yes. At Couvance revisions are included throughout development, so you can ask for adjustments as you review the weekly progress. Only major scope changes, such as new features that were not in the proposal, are agreed separately so they do not affect the timeline.

What if I don't like the final result?

Couvance does not launch anything without your approval. You see and approve the prototype before development and test working demos before launch; if something is not right, we fix it at no extra cost. After launch you also get 30 days of free support.

What does post-launch support include?

Every Couvance project includes 30 days of free support after launch: bug fixes, minor design tweaks and technical support on WhatsApp. For bigger changes or new features we agree on a new scope, with a free quote in under 24 hours.
